In an epoch of globalization change on a fast pace is inevitable. While tradition keeps us deeply rooted, to be at par with the rest of the world is of utmost importance in our chosen profession and vocation. Truly instrumental in our quest for updated knowledge on pulmonary diseases and disorders are modern communication lines. Advanced information technology has widely opened the doors to endless possibilities of us entering an era of novel and more holistic approaches to life preservation in all its aspects. Our members are encouraged to be a part of these historical changes and continuum. The College has spent time, money and effort to keep all of us informed. Crucial to the success of our Long Range Planning or Strategic Plan 2025 laid down by the PCCP leadership 2008-09 is the cooperation of well-informed members. We need to work hand-in-hand in the achievement of our goals. 8 strategic issues are addressed: Governance, Finance, Membership, Advocacy, Research, International Involvement and Recognition, Training and Corporate Social Responsibility. 11 Councils are establishing milestones. Our annual and midyear conventions plans, with power-packed orgcom chairs and committee members, are underway. The APSR is just around the corner! GARD (Global Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases) is a new avenue towards being internationally recognized. Stay on top of whole new in the field of pulmonary medicine. Keep abreast with the comings and goings of an ever-rowing College. Be a part of all these. Be there, wherever, with us or be square! Let us all rock! Welcome guys!
